ANZAC Day (Australia, New Zealand, Army Corps.)

                     What Is ANZAC Day?

Imagine traveling a long way to go on vacation. As you walk through the central part of the city with your family, you notice a huge display of red flowers, with people standing around. But this is not a garden you are looking at. You are in Australia on ANZAC Day.

ANZAC Day is a holiday that starts back when our New Zealand forces and Australia fought in the war, it is a day where their is no school so we can remember the people that fought for us.

Every April 25th, ceremonies are held in both countries to honor the sacrifices of their brave military men and women. It is similar to Memorial Day and Veterans Day in the US, except both the war dead and living service members are honored during this one day.

                How did ANZAC Day start?

In 1914, World War I started and Britain went to war with Germany. Because Australia and New Zealand were British colonies, men in those countries volunteered to fight for Britain as part of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

On April 25, 1915, these soldiers landed at Gallipoli which is part of Turkey. The Australian and New Zealand soldiers fought courageously there for 8 months in muddy, mucky conditions. About 8,000 died in the fight and around 18,000 were injured.

Besides the fighting, they suffered with lice, bad food, little drinkable water, and illness.

Even though they had to withdraw, they were viewed as brave men who sacrificed everything for their countries.

The Lock Down.

Today I am staying at home because of this virus called CODVID-19 which stands for coronavirus.
It really sucks not going to school and not learning new things, learning new things is so fun! Everyday me and my brothers eat our breakfast, after that we go to brush our teeth, then we put on our school uniform. When we are finished changing we wait for our video call, then when our video call is done we do some Maths, Reading and Writing. Sometimes in the evening we got outside to workout, then we have a break and play on our devices. At night time we do this thing called the Rosary. When we are finish doing the Rosary, we play 5 rounds of last card, after we are done playing Last card we go upstairs and brush our teeth, then we got into our bed and then fell asleep.

When the volcano explode, some white hot flame pop out on the top of the mountain that bring light to the darkness.

   When I grow up I wanna be a Police Officer. The reason I wanna be a cop is because that I can protect my family and arrest the criminal's, that try to steal all the money from the bank.

Good Friday is a day that we celebrate Easter season and it is the day

that we celebrate Jesus

dying on the cross for us. It’s a public holiday here in New Zealand. 

It was a Friday morning. Jesus was handed over to Roman soldiers.

They led him to the place of crucifixion… a hill just outside the city.

Then they nailed him to the cross.

As he grew weaker,Jesus said a prayer for his enemies:”Father, forgive them.

They don’t know what they are doing.

And then Jesus Died.

The Easter Bunny didn’t come to our house today, I guess Easter Bunny

is busy looking after His Bubbles. And my Mum said “if we are lucky,

and doing good stuff in the house, the Easter Bunny might turn up on

Sunday which is when Jesus arise from the dead and ascended into

Heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father.

-First we do the sign of the cross and say "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

-1 Our father
-10x Hail Marys
-1 Glory

1. Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from from evil, Amen.

2.  Hail Mary full of grace. The lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit o thy wowed Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother Of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

3. Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
    As it was, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
